Project detail

Straight story is a semidetached home respectively a home with a separate accessible granny-flat.
The floorplan of both units is compact and offers a spacious open area for kitchen, dining and living. This area is extended by terraces.
Bedroom areas are designed as retreat and therefor elevated by one meter compared to the living areas.
The fluid interior space is not interrupted but nevertheless a special division can be created.

The design concept of Straight Story is concentrating on the integration of exterior space within interior spaces: Circular to both units wooden terraces, ramps and access balcony are positioned, partially fully covered by the cantilevering roof.
Large scale glazing ensures the perfect vista to terraces and nature. All living functions are positioned in level 00, the lower level houses storage, plant rooms and a carport for residents of both units.
