The artist and sculptor Ben Siegel, born in Stuttgart, studied with Prof. Alfred Hrdlicka at the university of applied arts Vienna.
He celebrates international success with exhibitions and lectures.
Arie Hartog, curator at Gerhard-Marcks-Hauses in Bremen, Germany, about Ben Siegels´work: “at first sight it seems as gross figures are broken off a stone bloc; as if a figure – however – is scalped out of the stone, but the human shapes in the work of Siegel, are missing the grand contrast to stone: It is never flesh against marble, but structured stone… The simply identified display of humans is figure because one can see it not because it is dominating the sculptural process.”
Even if it doesn’t sound like it but his art is still affordable.
