Project detail

Hedgehog, an extraordinary sculpture for living.
Originally designed for an artistic family, this home concentrates on the open plan layout with a retracted gallery level.
This home offers two entirely independent living units.
Living unit 01 is accessed centric in the floorplan – the entrance area offers an impressive view as one experiences the entire room height of approx. 6 meters in this area.
On the one side of the floor layout a spacious living, dining and kitchen area opens up and is extended even more to the outside by a large scale glazing element.
On the other side of the entrance area one finds the rooms of retreat such as bedroom, bathroom and secondary rooms. An open staircase guides to the gallery level. The roofscape is created by shed roof elements which provide the unique interior space characteristics.

Living unit 02 is accessed on the front side of the building – the spacial concept is the same as in unit 01. This unit is an ideal granny flat or an autonomous apartment for kids. As well it can be perfectly used as office or retail space.
